Phenols are widely used in household products and as intermediates for industrial synthesis. For example, phenol itself is used (in low concentrations) as a disinfectant in household cleaners. Other substituted phenols are used in the dye industry to make intensely coloured azo dyes. Mixtures of phenols (especially the cresols) are used as components in wood preservatives such as creosote. Phenol is used as antiseptic in hospitals and is used in the production of various other chemicals and products like Plywood, Phenol formaldehyde resins etc.

This product is a preferred replacement of Acetic Acid. It is widely used in textile processing from pre-treatment bath to finishing bath. It plays a major role in neutralizing the bath. It is a good core alkali neutralizing agent which perfectly adjusts the pH of the whole range. It has no foaming and no risk of fibre damage unlike Acetic Acid.
